The Hat

This session was an absolute challenge and delight.
I'd bought my first set of continuous lightning a day before the session.
The last time that I'd worked with studio lighting was 7 years ago, so I have to admit that I was a little bit nervous. The delight was that Paula started posing for me like a professional model. It was so amazing to see a 6 year old being so comfortable with the camera, it was like she was a professional and it was her first time in a studio!

The Cabin

The cabin is my sanctuary, my refuge, it is one of my favorite places in this world. It is such a powerful and beautiful place. Time stops when you are at the cabin and you have no other choice bu to embrace the beauty of that moment.
In this picture Erik (my husband) and Anja (my niece) were immersed in that beauty.
That's why I love this picture so much, because it captured the magic of that moment and the magic of the lake.

Exploring the wonders of nature.

The lake was so quiet and peaceful that afternoon that Erik was able to take the girls for a ride.

The three of us

The beautiful and smart Anja

Anja is my niece.
I had the opportunity of taking all of these pictures of her because I was babysitting her and it was a delightful experience.
Thanks Ani for all those hours of fun!

More about Anja

Quietly enjoying the lake

Loking for something

I'm wondering where did Vishnu and uncle Erik go.......

The power of the unknown

It is so fun to see a kid experiencing or seeing something for the first time. They can stay there for ever, analyzing, wondering, and enjoying the wonders of the first impression.
That's exactly what Anja is doing here.
