- My memory is a photograph. In my relation to the world, in my travels, and in my imagination there have always been the photographs. When I was 16 years old I began my study of photography, and found it to be the most marvelous of arts in the world; an art expressive of a time, a place and of people. In life it is the moment that is experienced every instant and a photo revives the memory of that moment like no other art that I have found.
